So we’ve had a few things up our sleeve for the 2012 season and the first one is completed and ready! In conjunction with Adventure Experience, Red Horse Mountain Ranch debuts the new 1100 ft zip line with a water landing on June 7th, during our first week of the 2012 Summer Vacation season. The zip line is designed to handle guests between the weights of 240 lbs and 90 lbs.
Although it’s been in the works for over a year, Matt Majoros who manages the challenge course and climbing at Red Horse Mountain had the zip line up and in working condition within days of starting construction. Along with our annual training the zip line was given a thumbs up by Adventure Experiences, Inc a few days later. From the upper platform, the zip line slopes down towards the pond dropping over 75 feet in height. The ride is super-smooth and you’ll get speeds of around 35 mph before entering the pond. It’s amazing how long it takes to complete the ride.
A climbing harness and helmet are provided to each of the guests. Along with instructions from your climbing guides all the way through the adventure. We’re expecting to the Mega Zip to be a big hit for many years to come! After you’ve been on the zip, make sure and give Matt a big, Yeehaw! for doing such an amazing job! Way to go Matt!
