Red Horse Mountain is located near the eastern shores of Coeur d'Alene Lake in Idaho, between Carlin Bay and Harrison, Idaho. Red Horse Mountain is approximately 28 miles south of Couer d'Alene, which takes approximately 1 hour drive along the Coeur d'Alene Lake Scenic Byway,  Highway 97.

The nearest international airport is the Spokane Airport (GEG), located approximately 1.5 hour drive from Red Horse Mountain in Washington state. Airlines flying to Spokane include United, Delta, Southwest, Horizon, Alaska, and other major airlines

Direction from Coeur d'Alene.
Do NOT take online mapping systems directions which will take you into the backcountry of the Idaho National Forest.Take I-90 east toward Kellog, Idaho and take the ID-97 exit 22 toward Harrison. Turn Right onto ID-97. In 27 miles, turn left onto Blue Lake Road and travel approximately 5 miles to the end of the road. Once onto Blue Lake Road, follow the signs to the Red Horse Mountain Lodge.

Direction from Spokane, Washington.
Take I-90 Eastbound. Go Approximately 45 miles, through Coeur d'Alene. Take the Harrison exit, ID-97. Turn right onto ID-97. Go approximately 25 miles, to East Blue Lake Road. Turn left onto East Blue Lake Road. Follow our signs to Red Horse Mountain Lodge, approximately 5 miles off of ID-97.

Direction from Missoula, Montana.
Take I-90 Westbound. Go approximately 135 miles to the Rose Lake Exit, ID-3. Turn left onto ID-3. Go approximately 20 miles. Bear right, toward Harrison, on ID-97. Go approximately 10 miles, through Harrison (don't blink or you'll miss it), to East Blue Lake Road. Follow our signs, approximately 5 miles, to Red Horse Mountain Lodge.

Direction from Sandpoint, Idaho.
Take US-95 Southbound. Go approximately 45 miles to Coeur d'Alene and I-90. Turn left onto I-90. Take I-90 Eastbound. Take the Harrison exit, ID-97. Turn right onto ID-97. Go approximately 25 miles, to East Blue Lake Road. Turn left onto East Blue Lake Road. Follow our signs to Red Horse Mountain Lodge, approximately 5 miles off of ID-97.
