Dude Ranch Vacation updates for the 2010 Summer Season

At the ranch there is a stir of excitement. I think it comes when  spring draws to a close. We’re all anticipating temperatures to break into the 70’s this week. Winter, we hope, now becomes a memory but in Idaho, you expect weather to change. In the next few weeks, the final touches are being completed as the ranch reawakens for our 2010 summer season. I thought it would be fun to give everyone a few updates on the exciting news for the coming year.Fishing Opportunities. One exciting bit of news is that Red Horse Mountain Ranch has expanded our outfitting license to include Lake Coeur d’Alene. Along with all of the other amazing guided adventures, our guests will also now have the opportunity to fish for Chinook salmon, large and smallmouth bass, crappie, and northern pike through the summer season. Morels and New Guests

While clearing trail in the spring it is always a pleasant treat when we stumble upon some yummy Morel Mushrooms and Fiddle Heads (premature fern plants). Fix it up with some moose steak and you have yourself a delicious dinnerOur first week back open is going great! We have one guest from England and another family visiting for a post graduation party. A great gathering place for some family time.This morning they went out on the advanced ride with Alison and can't wait to go back out on another advanced ride on Thursday. Our other adventurous guests went with Matt out on the trails Mountain Biking.If you haven't tried that, it is something you need to experience! This afternoon they are going kayaking and tomorrow they are all headed up to the Challenge Course for some good time thrills!
